Techem E-Charging packages: Tailored to your needs
Our holistic electromobility packages cover everything for you, from consulting and installation to billing, depending on your needs. We offer you three packages to choose from: Home, Professional and Comfort.
In this solution package, Techem takes care of the selection and professional installation of charging stations and related components. For this, we put together a building-specific configuration according to your requirements.
- Charging station: Choose from charging powers between 3.7 kW, 11 kW and 22 kW. Depending on the circumstances, these are wall-mounted systems (so-called wallboxes) or free-standing charging columns. Load management is included as standard.
- Installation: With the help of standardized installation packages, the costs can be categorized very easily. If desired, we can take care of the professional and standard-compliant installation and commissioning of the charging station directly at the parking space, as well as the entire execution from the house connection to the parking space.
With this package, you receive all the necessary services to enable a technically stable and commercially comprehensible application. This includes:
- Billing service and user management: You specify which user is provided with which authorizations and under which conditions. Techem then regularly generates a consumption invoice for the charging current on the basis of recording devices that comply with calibration regulations.
- Technical operating service: In addition to continuous monitoring of the charging station, Techem takes care of troubleshooting remotely so that your users remain mobile. In the event of problems, we offer a 24-hour hotline to provide around-the-clock support for your tenants during charging operations. We also carry out an annual functional or electrical safety check of the charging station.

Theoretically, it is possible to charge an electric car by plugging it into a normal socket. However, the so-called Schuko charging cable is only used for emergency charging and should actually only be used at previously checked sockets designed for this purpose. The technology of a normal house connection is not designed for such a continuous load – a vehicle requires a constant high charging current. If, in addition, there are low cable cross-sections, long cable runs, wobbly contacts or many consumers connected in series, the risk of cables and plug contacts overheating becomes increasingly greater. It is therefore necessary to have a qualified electrician check exactly how a professional and safe solution can be implemented.
Electricity is billed in compliance with calibration regulations via the electricity meter integrated into the charging station, which is directly connected to a recording and billing system. Authentication via RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) enables precise allocation of consumption to the user. This means that even in the case of shared parking spaces, consumption can be assigned to individual users in a legally secure manner.
When charging an electric car, you should pay particular attention to ensuring that the power grid and all components are not overstressed by the charging process. For this reason, only expert personnel may install and commission charging stations. In addition, charging stations must be registered with or even approved by the responsible power grid operator. Since electromobility is considered an important contribution to climate protection, government subsidies are possible. The KfW Group is one potential contact here. Under the KfW 440 program, it is currently contributing 900 euros toward the costs of hardware and installation of a charging station. In addition to the KfW Group, state banks are also possible sponsors. In any case, it pays to find out more because the costs for a charging station can sometimes be significantly lowered by obtaining subsidies.
Important factors for the charging time of an electric car include the charging power of the wallbox, the charging technology installed in the vehicle and the battery capacity of the electric car. A simple formula for a guide value is: battery capacity / charging power = charging time. Some experts recommend multiplying the result by a factor of 1.3 due to fluctuating charging power.
We install scalable charging technology. This means we can usually react flexibly to new challenges in order to always offer you the best possible solution for the charging process. For example, if more and more tenants in your apartment building decide to drive electric cars, so that the existing infrastructure is no longer sufficient, we adapt the existing technology. But no matter how large the charging station in the apartment building becomes, it will always be possible to bill individual consumption.
Based on our feasibility study, we determine how many charging stations can be set up and what options are available for implementation. On the one hand, network expansion can be carried out, which Techem then coordinates with the network operator. Alternatively, a load management system can be set up that makes ideal use of the maximum possible connected load.
Since the growth in the number of registrations for e-vehicles is expected to continue to increase sharply in the coming years, today’s demand is not indicative. For this reason, we are also looking into expansion variants in the future so that a scalable overall system can be established.
