Techem has stood for efficient use of energy and water with innovative solutions since 1952. We also rely on climate-protective energy management for our own properties and our actions.

What we do at Techem for climate protection

We have implemented an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 and have had it certified. We continuously monitor whether our organization is energy efficient and make improvements wherever possible. Regular audits and assessments contribute to this. We also actively involve our employees in implementing the energy policy.

How we are committed to greater sustainability

EED: Lower energy consumption and greater transparency

With the amendment of the European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), the future belongs to remotely readable meters. The aim is to reduce energy consumption in the EU in the long term. All our technologies are therefore already EED-compliant today.

The Factbook on the energy transition

Together with the Handelsblatt Research Institute, Techem has compiled scientific findings and important facts on the topic of “digitization of the energy transition” in the building sector. The resulting Factbook shows potentials and presents unexpected facts.

DHL’s GoGreen initiative

Letters, parcels, packages – they all cause CO₂ emissions. Techem therefore uses the GoGreen service from Deutsche Post DHL. We pay a surcharge on the postage – in return, DHL invests in climate protection projects. All details in the GoGreen certificate 2019.
