Techem simplifies heating cost billing with innovative data collection

  • Techem expands its digital offering for consumption billing
  • New digital solution enables intuitive and fast heating cost billing in just four steps
  • Customer-oriented development for optimal user-friendliness

Eschborn, October 17, 2025. Techem is now making heating cost billing even easier for its customers: The new digital data entry solution is now part of the well-known customer portal “mein.Techem” and offers a completely new user experience. In this way, the service provider for smart and sustainable buildings is consistently expanding its digital range of services for consumption billing.

Intuitive data entry through a guided question-and-answer process

The new application for data entry in heating cost billing features a guided question-and-answer process. Instead of complex forms, users are guided step by step through the process. In just four clearly structured steps, they can enter all the relevant data for calculating their heating costs. The billing itself is carried out using the proven ‘Abrechnung Direct‘ service, which has been in use since 2022 and enables immediate evaluation in real time.

“The new intuitive data entry, combined with our proven real-time service ‘Abrechnung Direct’, enables our customers to create their billing quickly, comprehensively, and without technical hurdles. This further development is a clear demonstration of our innovation leadership and offers our customers real added value,” says Nicolai Kuß, CSO at Techem.

Customer feedback as the basis for development

The revised data entry system is based on feedback from users, who were actively involved throughout the development process, and is therefore specifically tailored to their needs. The guided question-and-answer process, which guides customers step by step through the billing process, is a particularly user-friendly solution. At the same time, a preview function and a live comparison with the previous year ensure better control and transparency of the data entered. In addition, the tool runs on all common devices – without the need for special software or technical knowledge. If you have any questions or uncertainties, personal customer service is available – by phone or chat.

“With the new intuitive data entry, we are meeting user requirements for digital services. This is also proven by the response so far: thousands of customers have already successfully used the application and commented positively on the new functions. With this further development, Techem is strengthening its position as a digitalization partner for the real estate industry and setting new standards for modern, user-friendly billing,” concludes Nicolai Kuß.
