Eschborn, September 24, 2025. Techem, one of the leading international providers of digital solutions for the real estate industry, has appointed Ulrich Schiller as Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective April 1, 2026. In his new role, Schiller will join the management team led by Matthias Hartmann (CEO), Dr. Carsten Sürig (CFO), and Nicolai Kuß (CSO) with his many years of experience and expertise. With the expansion of its management team, Techem is underlining its ambition to drive growth, digitalization, and sustainability equally and to further expand its position as a leading partner for smart and sustainable energy services internationally.

The appointment of Ulrich Schiller complements the existing management team and strengthens Techem's operational effectiveness. Nicolai Kuß, who is currently responsible for the Operations division, will then fully refocus on his role as Chief Sales Officer. The focus of his work will be on further developing sales, working closely with customers and partners, and opening up new areas of growth.

At Techem, Schiller will primarily be responsible for operational efficiency and process scaling, the implementation and further development of digital measurement and control technologies, and the operational implementation of sustainability and digitalization projects. His expertise will be used in particular to accelerate the introduction of smart meter solutions, the digital development of the product portfolio, and the implementation of sustainability-oriented investments.

Matthias Hartmann, CEO of the Techem Group: “We warmly welcome Ulrich Schiller as our new COO. His expertise and operational strength will help us not only to implement our strategic goals even more efficiently, but also to further increase our excellence in day-to-day business. With the tailwind of our new ownership structure, we want to continue to grow and develop the company. The focus will be on digitalization, sustainable innovations, and the highest quality standards.”

Ulrich Schiller: “I am very pleased to be joining the Techem Group. Together with the existing management team, I would like to contribute to optimizing operational processes, bringing innovations to market more quickly, and enhancing Techem’s global visibility as a leading partner for sustainable energy services.”

Ulrich Schiller brings extensive experience in the real estate industry to the table. As managing director of HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH, his responsibilities include asset and portfolio management, school construction, new construction, technical management, operational portfolio management, and IT. Under his leadership, the company's portfolio grew significantly through new construction and acquisitions, and HOWOGE's position as one of the largest housing construction companies in Germany was significantly strengthened.
